Scared to death...any advice plz |
| Ok, I just found out two days ago that I am preg. I am 27 and no kids so far. Yes I am at an age where having kids is really not a bad thing, however........My family hates my bf. My mom, dad and sister dont care for him because he is (about to be 22) and they think he has nothing to offer me. I however adore him. He is very good to me and I am very happy with him. There is another catch. He is black (I am white) and my grandparents will FLIP if they knew. Ok so aside from that, I am SCARED to death to tell ANYONE. I am scared to death to have a child. I LOVE kids. (I just graduated with a special education degree) But wow...I have cried so many tears. I am having so many crazy thoughts go through my head. If I do go through with this I would not want to give up a baby to adoption. I would have grown so attached to the feeling of being a mother that I couldn't bear it. How in the world do I tell my family.

Chin up. It will get better. I'm a Christian and believe that everything is in God's plan. The baby may be a blessing in disguise. Maybe not for you at the minute, but maybe in time. I hope that your families racism doesn't effect your child's self esteem growing up. I know it will be tough for you're whole family, but I'm sure that IF you do choose to parent you'll work those things out. If you decide that parenting is not an option for you there is Adoption. There are many couples that are more than willing to adopt a biracial child. Growing up one of my best friends was biracial. I never really noticed, but I wanted my hair done like hers lol! Well, If you ever wanna talk, let me know.

| girl it does not matter what your family thinks. you are a grown woman and so what if your bf is 22 if ya'll are happy about the baby then let it be. Trust me i konow i'm olny 19 but i'm my 2nd child and i have been through more then what everybody else has. so if you need to talk about it just let me know and i can see if i can help you out.

You shouldnt have to worry what they say. You love him, doesnt matter what color you or he is, or religion. if they have a problem with it, thats there lost. You and your love have something they can never contain and be prowd of that.
