signs of menopause
Hi! I am Christy. I am 39 years old. I have one child from my first marriage. My first husband died. I found my second husband two years ago. We want to have a baby but we did not succeed yet. I am worried that my ages are the biggest problem. I am thinking that I am in early menopause. I really want to know what are the signs of menopause. 1 christy

Hello! I am 40 years old and I am still not in menopause. This depends of many things. My friend is in menopause and she is 37 year old. Menopause happens when you haven't had a period for 12 straight months and you aren't pregnant or sick. It's a normal part of aging. It happens because female sex hormone levels naturally go down as you get older. You may have hot flashes and irregular periods. Your skin may flush red and your heart may beat faster. Then you may feel suddenly cold. Symptoms vary greatly from woman to woman. Some women have no symptoms at all. All you can do is pay attention to how you're feeling and notice changes. If you have some of this signs you are probably headed for menopause. I hope that isn't the case with you. Hope you will have one more child. 2 AzraS

In addition to dealing with hot flashes, mood swings, and other symptoms that accompany menopause, many women undergoing premature menopause have to cope with additional physical and emotional concerns. Premature menopause is menopause that happens before the age of 40. Women with menopausal-like symptoms, even those taking estrogen, may be suffering from undiagnosed thyroid disease. While symptoms such as fatigue, depression, mood swings, and sleep disturbances are frequently associated with menopause, they may also be signs of hypothyroidism. I don't know have you ever checked your thyroid function. Thyroid is very important for putting hormones in balance. Ask your doctor to check this. I had a problem with thyroid and with some medications I am now fine. 3 Tabitha

Some others signs of menopause are mood swings, hair loss, sleep disorders, difficulty concentrating, allergies and many others. Look closely what is going on with your body and mind and you will recognize if you are in menopause. All of this signs can help you. If you have most of this symptoms probably you are in early menopause. If you are do not be sad. Have you consider any other option to have a child? I know that this is not the same but you still have a surrogacy or adoption as a chance. Don't let this depressed you. Think about it. But first watch for the signs. Maybe you still have many years to menopause. Maybe you didn't get pregnant for some other reason. Did you go to the doctor? It would be great if you and your husband do tests. The results will show if there is another reason that stops you in your wish. 4 Nuriya
