How long should I wait before ttc?
I am 36 years old and I have watched all of my friends have children. Unfortunately due to divorce I found myself single and childless in my 30's. I fortunately have now met a wonderful boyfriend who also desperately wants to be a father. We have only dated for 7 months but, I'm afraid that if we don't try soon my ovaries are going to shrivel and dry up soon. Has anyone else found themselves in this predicament? Have you taken any proactive actions to protect your fertility or frozen your eggs for future use? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to rush into parenthood when my relationship is way too new for that kind of responsibility, but at the same time I'm afraid to wait. 1 Ankita

Do not rush. Try to make things normal. DO not behave like teens. I am also infertile till now. I am trying my best to become a mother. I am 35 years old now. My husband loves children. I also have one abortion in history. That was the time when I want to focus on the career. Now I am much depressed. I want to become a mother soon. Please help. This is the reason I am here. 2 Alexcade

Hi It can be very disheartening on the fact that when you want to have a kid you cant and when you can, you don't need the baby. These decisions that we make in life can be very devastating to our own self. We do not realize this early in life, but they have a major impact on us. I would suggest you to take your time. Do not just be in the hurry of having a baby and then regretting it later on the man that you will be sharing with. Just be sure on what you need to do and then accordingly take a call. 3 Neha5

hey there, its good that your sharing with us and opening up about whats going on.i advice you to rush if your really not ready for a baby but it will also be good if you talk to your boyfriend about it and just tell him how you feel its good to be honest since your relationship is still young.......and also about you freezing your eggs i would advice that you talk to your doctor and find out more about but.all the best. 4 mindy mowrey

Hi there, I understand what you are going through. I have had various friends going through the same. I would advise you take some time alone and mediate. Try to find out the order of you life. If possible try to make your priorities right. If I could be you I would first establish myself. Since you have no fertility issues. You can then go for freezing your eggs. With technological advancement many things are made possible. This should then be the least of your worries. Set you life straight first. Its better the baby comes at the right time. Consider having a stable relationship. What if you now get pregnant and your boyfriend leaves you? would you wish to raise your child singlehandedly? You should first create a better life for the kid. Focus on being stable on all aspects of your life. I wish you all the best in the decision that you will make. 6 Noreen

hey dear dont rush take your time but if you really want to freeze your eggs i suggest that you get to know more about what your getting into.doctors say that a woman in her early 40s, eggs that were frozen in your late 30s are your best chance of conception.so i think you should go ahead and do it if your scared. 8 debbie brown
