Smoking Tobacco
Hi, I am a smoker and we are contemplating having a baby. I won't lie but I do find this to be a problem because I don't feel confident that I would be able to resist my addiction for nine months, and also that I am afraid I may have already done the damage by smoking for over 10 years. I would like some opinions on this please, especially from women who were smokers and had babies. 1 Shree

hello, smoking is a bad habit though it affects men more than us. other than being at risk to cancer , smoking affect the repro system and will make it difficult to conceive. though rare but i think you should stop. 2 melaniebuns

Omg, this is a very common problem, unfortunately. The body of the smoker is completely cleared in almost a year. So I would advise you to survive this period and then start trying to get pregnant. I understand you, because I am an ex-smoker. Try to see Allan Carr's movie or read his book. Until you yourself have no desire to quit, nothing will turn out. Dependence only in your head. Just think about what is in your priority - the health of your future child or nicotine. 3 maxblack

hello,Your baby's health would probably be fine if you were to quit about a month before trying to conceive. Ideally, you should have no nicotine at all in your system during pregnancy, since nicotine is a vasoconstrictor, meaning it constricts your blood vessels — including the ones to the placenta and the baby. Smoking and secondhand smoke can increase the risk for miscarriage, birth defects, and other complications of pregnancy, and they can also lower your odds of getting pregnant in the first place 4 esther browder

Hi, as we all know, smoking is the bad habit. It damages our health and decreasing our life. Nowadays, most of the people in the world have the smoking habit. Also, they even know that it is bad for them and in spite of them, they are doing the same thing daily. Actually, they can’t live without smoking. Also, they are not able to leave smoking. Smoking is the really bad habit. Also, it may possible to get serious diseases. As same as tobacco is also one of the dangerous habits. It causes mouth cancer. Actually, both smoking and tobacco are dangerous for us. Also, I can assure that it is possible to leave these unwanted habits. There are many ways to drop these habits. First one is meditation. Meditation really works. You just do meditation only 10 to 15 days and then see the result. You will definitely get the positive result. Also, one another way is that you can decrease your daily smock. Means not drop directly but try to decrease smock day by day. So these types of many ways are available and using these ways you can easily leave these habits. 5 alley

Smoking tobacco is injurious. But some of my friends are a smoker. They also have kids. I am also a light smoker. But I am unable to become a mother. I got married 12 years ago. This was a love marriage. We both were happy. But now we are depressed. A baby creates a bond between parents. I do not find any way to get rid of the situation. I am going to Ukraine for surrogacy now. They are best. 7 Carisscot

Hi dear. I smoke. but I’m at 2 a day. I cut back a lot when I found out I was pregnant. I tried quitting but it was stressing me out. so I consulted with the doctor at BioTexCom clinic about 2 a day and she said it’s ok and baby is perfectly fine. 8 Deepika

Hello there. How are you? I am glad to know about your decision. Yet; this smoking will be an issue. Look; smoking is not good. Even if you are not trying to conceive, still it is injurious to health. And if you have a baby growing inside of you. It will be disaster. Smoking can cause premature births, small babies compared to normal once and much more. You as a conceiver, cut down the only source of baby’s breathing. You are actually causing severe problems to your unborn child. I advise you to leave this. When I was undergoing fertility treatment at “BioTexCom”; they had asked me if I was accustomed to smoking? They said it will be not good for the treatment, my health and the baby. So, leave this habit. All the best. Nancy!! 9 Nancy
