Need Help!!
Okay, so here's the deal. My boyfriend wants our baby (if it's a girl) to have the name Anna. Well.... I have a big problem with that, because his ex's name is Anna. I'm willing to compromise and have Anna IN the name, but not as an entire name in itself. So far, the only names I've been able to come up with that have that in them are: Hannah Riannah and Savannah Can anyone help me come up with more names? I'd really appreciated it. Thanks, Kelly 1 many_lives

I Like Kiana. I know a girl named that and all the rest of the kids are like...let me see, the oldest is named Nisha, then, Koda, Kaitlyn, Kiana, Dalakai, and then the last one's name is Molly. Go figure! lol 5 chezneyzmom

We named our daughter Annaleise but call her Anna. Annaleise is German orientated and its meaning is gracious. 10 cheryldfw

I've always loved the name Anne, but not without the e. Maybe he'll go for that? The e just seems to add class and beauty(in my mind anyway). You might could push enough for it to be a middle name. 11 smilefriend

If your boyfriend's ex-girlfriend's name is Anna.. I would probably choose a different name. 14 MOM TO BE

Totally go with a different name. You are a great woman to accept it but it's your clilds name for the rest of all three of your lives. I must say I am partial to the name Anna... I named my one and only daughter Anna. I still love it. If you are worried about it at all then dont do it. Tell him you will have a list of names and he can have a list of names and you can veto names from eachothers list...then combine what is left and use that as a starting point. My husband has loved the name Aedan for his son for what he has said was 10 years...hes 24..hehe. I agreed to the name and said he could name the boy Aedan but I can help with the middle name. Just recently I have seen the incredible popularity of the name and how it is also being used as a feminine name (UGH). I told him how uncomfortable I was with the name, I was never really in love with anyway. We argued about it for a day but now it is off the board. Tell him youre uncomfortable with it. tell him he can have a major say in the name but Anna is off the board. 15 erginflergin

If you're cool about the name. I would do Juliana. Savanna is really overused and kinda cheapy. Reanna is different. Rianna, i forget how you spelled it. Breanna is cute but big breanna population. I have a cousin named Brianna...she is 20. Very pretty girl. Cousin Juliana too...she is going to college to be a Dr. 16 erginflergin

I agree with Mom-To-Be I would choose another name. Explain to your boyfriend your feelings on this and reach a happy medium - a name you both love. 17 Nas

I also Agree with mom-to-be, I think that you should pick a totally different name. I think you and him should sit down with a baby book and go through it together. Good Luck!! 18 babyboy2

I agree with Mom-To-Be. After all would he want you naming a little boy after one of your ex's. But if your really comfortable with it that's great then go with it. I know there's no way I could. 19 dwssayre
